Any chance of a bit more info, such as what program are you trying to use when it changes.
Or when is this actually happening.

Hi Albie,

In what circumstances is this happening? Is when you fill forms in on line?
Does it happen on any form, any site - or is it a specific web site?

Are you using a program such as RoboForm to fill in web log-ins etc? If so, look at how your personal details are stored.

More details of the circumstances is needed - I don't think this is due to IE7.

Hi Dave
Lloydstsb internet banking website, I believe it is only the one number involved and it appears in the GB* form with no action by myself with no action by myself. I feel that it is due to the account number starting with 00 the other account which only starts with a single 0 is unaffected. even on the summary page the GB error occurs. I don't use roboform for this site

Hi I've now tried the same site on my laptop using XP Home, both with and without Roboform, and the problem does not arise, a lot more comparisons between the two set ups are needed

I have no idea what it could be Albie, but you have narrowed it down and proved it's something to do with your PC. Perhaps a call to the bank's Internet help-desk might be worthwhile? Might be they've had other customers with a similar problem.

Hi albyefield

As Dave says, I also think a call to the bank is the way forward and hopefully they can shed some light into the problem

If it had been that you were storing the number in a database then it could have been the the cell format that was causing the problem, "but not" with the way you have now described it.

Although it would be a incorrect number, have you tried with just a single 0 (zero)?

Do you mean it gets inserted automatically?
Do you use AutoComplete for personal information in Internet properties?

If yes, then you need to clean out the "AutoComplete" history from within:-
"Control Panel > Internet Properties > Content > AutoComplete"

Hopefully that might resolve the issue.

Hi,
I've done that but the problem remains, there is a process running somewhere that changes it , momentarily the correct number shows but only for a split second and then it changes.
I'm going to snapshot my running processes and ask if any of those couldbe cxausing the problem

Although I don't know too much about the problem, so hopefully someone else can help, but it sounds as if it's a "encryption" problem.

There's nothing in those processes that should cause any problems Albie.
The only thing that you could say is peculiar to your system is the Intellitype keyboard you have. Wouldn't have thought that would cause it though.

Do you have another keyboard you could connect up temporarily to 'prove' it?
