| When i runCcleaner it backs up the registry with a file-name like cc_20111204_133803reg if all goes wrong for some reson how do i re-instate that backed-up registry file. |

| All you have to do is to double-click the .REG file and the entries will be reinstated in the registry. _________________ Mike

| Ok thanks what happens if the registry is corrupted to a point where windows wont work? can i navigate to the file in DOS execute the same *.reg file? |

The registry cleaner in Ccleaner is generally considered to be safe - it shouldn't leave the PC in an unbootable state. _________________ Mike
