| A strange phenomenon has occurred but only on my laptop not the desktop. If I click on a HTML file created using Frontpage a window comes up asking if I want to save the file but it doesn't &open in IE8 at all. On the desktop it opens normally. Laptop is HP G72 running Windows 7 home premium & IE8. Desktop Zoostorm running the same. Any ideas? Albie |

| Hi Albie,
Have you tried opening IE8 and from the menu choosing File>Open then browse to where your HTML file is? _________________ A day without sunshine is like, well, night. |

| Hi Dave, Tried that now but the same result. Window save or cancel then nothing. I will compare settings on both IE8s or is it down to the bios? Albie |

| I've now compared Internet options on both computers and changed those on the laptop where different but still get the same behaviour. There is a momentary glimpse of an IE screen if open is chosen but then it repeats "save / cancel". Incidentally there are other incidences of different behaviour eg. Using Roboform right clicking on a login on the desktop goes straight to the options but on the laptop one has to mouse over to see the options Using PSE 9 On the laptop using tracker ball sometimes will not define an area for action on the desktop and mouse defining is no problem Albie |
