PostSubject: Image information, printing possible?   Wed Apr 14, 2010 11:57 am

Friends further to my other request for assistance.

I have now a file with 53 .jpg images where I have entered information along the lines of "Bill Moseley utah Oak 10 inches high .jpg"

What I would like to do is print off a hard copy of that information for my reference during a "Slide Show" of the 53 images. I can then elaborate on the information required.

Trying to print only gives me the option of printing ALL the images which I obviously do not need.

How can I do that?

Might I have to copy them to another file and then change the .jpg to .doc?

Regards, Peter.

Without using additional software, you could open Windows Explorer, take a screenshot of the page, paste it into a program such as Word and then print it out.

I don't know how conversant you are with DOS, but you can open a Command Prompt window, navigate to the Directory (Folder) containing the image files and then run the command:

dir > list.txt

This will create a text file called "list.txt" with the list of files, which you can then open in Notepad, edit as necessary and print it out.

Or, you could try PrintFolders, simple to use and also free.

Anne, thankyou. It worked perfectly and a list is now in my sticky little fingers!

Much appreciated, Peter.
