 Crop A Picture

Hi ive got some "jpeg" pictures that i would like to "crop" is there anything out there that would do the job (free)

Oh yes there's lots.
Here's what I use.

FastStone Image Viewer 3.9 or FastStone Photo Resizer 2.8
Both are dead easy to use.

Quite a lot of people would recommend "the Gimp" as well

There's lots more out there.

Irfan view is a good free picture program with all the usual bits and pieces and its easy to crop with it - just left click hold down and drag to where you want to keep and then just go to edit and click crop. Zante. easy to resize as well.

Yeah that's another one I forgot about.
When you try a couple you then tend to stay with the one you get on with best.
it's down to that personal preference thing again. Very Happy

Others worth having:

Picasa - and it crops as well as all the other easy fixes for photos.

Photofiltre - quite powerful photo program with some good effects.


XnView - a lite version of Photofiltre.

I should have added that once you have cropped you must then save the photo again change the saved name or add a number to it or something so you know which is the cropped and which is the original if you keep them both. Cheers, Zante.
