This might be a blonde question but I am curious as to the possibilities:
Is it possible or in the future a feasable 'might happen' that if you hook a tower that you know has viruses in it to a monitor that you use for a tower that does not have viruses in it that the viruses in the first tower could be transmitted to the monitor and then through that to second tower or transmitted to other peripheals such as printers etc?
Yes, I have never heard of it but I was just wondering
Zante.

I doubt that is likely Zante, the monitor is only for display, it doesn't have storage (like a hard drive or memory) that could store a virus.

For a virus to spread "in this way" there would also have to be a second PC connected and turned on "at the same time" to the that of the known infected PC, basically it would have to be connected to part of a network.

viruses cant be spread by monitors nor can they be spread by speakers, mice, keyboards only viruses that can be spread by keyboards and mice are the type that give you colds and stuff, proper living viruses not virtual electronic ones
