Spyware Blaster helps protect your browser from nasty sites. It is good to have in addition to spyware scanners such as Spybot because it stops the bad stuff getting onto your computer in the first place. (Scanners find things that have already got onto your computer.)

When you install Spyware Blaster, check for updates first. Then make sure that you enable all protection for your browsers. It protects both Firefox and Internet Explorer.

Spyware Blaster doesn't scan for nasties, it just stops them getting in through your browser in the first place.

Everyone has their own "favourites". I stopped using Spybot and Adaware some time ago and now use Spyware Blaster and Malwarebytes (which is used to scan the PC's files).

Me too. Although I still have SuperAntispyware and Windows Defender as well.

I prefer Malwarebytes too (and Superantispyware) along with my installation of Norton 360 and IE8's "Protected Mode" on vista, my pc has been kept running smooth and clean since I go it.

Before you scan with Malwarebytes always be sure to update its definitions:
select the Update tab from along the top and click to check for updates.
