PostSubject: Setting up Belkin F1UP0002 Print server   Tue Jan 06, 2009 9:32 pm

Hi,

I bought the above print server a few months ago, and had it running on my Linsys router. However having had major problems with the LinksysWAG200G, I have bought a Belkin Router/Modem BELKIN F5D8633-4. not without problems, I have (hopefully) managed to get the system working (Link here to that forum) -> http://mgmcc.forumotion.net/networking-f8/router-on-the-way-out-t172.htm

The problem is now that my Belkin Print server will not work!

Can someone please tell me what I need to do to configure the Print server to the Belkin router! (and vice versa in case I have to revert)

Thanks

Dave Smile

Update:
I went into the print server software pages, and tried to work out why it would not work. In the end I thought it might be to do with the gateway and ip address.
I changed the ip address of the print server to 192.168.2.104 from 192.168.1.104, and had to change the gateway to 192.168.2.1 (as this is the router Ip address). Once I'd done this, and rebooted the server, and set up a new TCP/IP port for the printer on my desktop PC, I could print to the printer attached to the server. To use other PC's (Wireless Laptop) a new TCP/IP port (address 192.168.2.104) has to be set up on each PC.
