| Hi, all, I have 2 P.Cs connected to a BT voyager 2110 router and added a PSUS4 print server. All worked well, until I had internet trouble, mentioned elsewhere, and had to swap out routers etc., now I can't get my printer to work via the print server. As far as I'm aware everything is/has been set up correctly; going through the print server set up wizard the printer shows as an Hp7350 and the server driver is listed in ... start .. all programs. The i.p. address allocation is set to automatic, but I keep getting told that the printer has not been detected, any help would be appreciated, regards, moxy. |

| I have the same Linksys Print Server but have given it a fixed IP address in the router's subnet. Doing that might help. | Quote: | | I keep getting told that the printer has not been detected |
Check in the printer's Properties that it is still set to use the virtual printer port created by the Print Server software and that it hasn't reverted to the default setting, which is probably the LPT1 parallel port if Windows can't see the printer. _________________ Mike

| Mick, I think twas you who suggested this print server which has served me well [up till now]. My printer's properties port setting is currently... IP_1 standard TCP/IP port hp7350 be this correct??? I didn't see anything labelled virtual printer port, regards, moxy. |

| I actually have a "Print Server Port" with its own weird reference which was installed by the software, but if the port you have is the one that has worked in the past, it must presumably be correct. Do you use more than one computer to print via the Print Server and if so is it failing with all of them? _________________ Mike

| On tother p.c. I get "print server connect fail". I've removed both p.c's printer drivers, reinstalled them, [prints o.k. using USB], reset the print server, un-installed / reinstalled the print server drivers etc., still no joy, not the end of the world, I can just plug the printer USB into my p.c. for the moment, gracias, moxy. |

| The print server software/drivers seems to install o.k. but then I get a window stating ... browsing print server by TCP/IP ... then "check connections and ... on same LAN segment .. and reference to compatible IP address. [how does one post a screen shot, please???] |
