PostSubject: Wireless adapters   Fri Mar 13, 2009 12:51 pm

HI,

Due to ongoing problems, all my PC's are now having to use wireless access to the Router. The one PC i am having problems with is my XP one.

I am connecting using a Linksys WUSB54G to connect to my Linksys router (WAG200G).

The Adapter is all set up, using the latest software from the Linksys site: http://www.linksysbycisco.com/UK/en/support/WUSB54G/download

The adapter installed OK, but each time I switch on the Computer, I have to go into Device manager, (where there is a Exclamation on the "Linksys Wireless-G USB Network Adapter". If I disable it, then re-enable it - it connects perfectly.

I have tried updating the software from the Instalation CD, but it says - the version installed is the best available.

What is the problem - why do I have to do this all the time. When it was connected to my daughters XP desktop computer 18 months ago (before she had a Vista Laptop), it worked fine - we never had this problem.

Any ideas - settings? etc.

Thanks

Dave study
