 Laptop fails to boot

Hi Mike,First time on your site after being shown to it by Anne,,my problem is..I am helping a friend to sort out his laptop,a Fujitsu Siemans Esprimo running Vista home ,sometimes it will boot but most times it won`t,I have tried booting from the recovery disc with no luck..any tips please..mayanbilly

Can you be more specific - is there an error message or does it hang with a blank screen etc? What exactly are the symptoms when it fails to boot properly?

Hi Mike,ok now,I kept pressing F8 and it booted up ok..thanks..mayanbilly
