Hi, all, this question has nothing to do with computers, but here goes. If I buy a television with digital Freeview channels, will an analogue VHS recorder play back on it using scart connections, or does one have to have a tele with an analogue tuner, thanks in anticipation, regards, moxy.

Yes, playback from a VHS video recorder via "scart" will be fine, because the TV will use an "AV" input which bypasses the tuner.

But you will have problems trying to record a freeview channel.

It is possible, but you will only to be able to record the current channel that is being viewed.

...or connect a separate Freeview Set-top box to the VCR.

Thanks, everypeeps, it was one of those questions that I could talk myself into being able to do or not with a valid arguement for both options. I will only need playback because I'll record in analogue, thanks again. moxy.

Is it from the normal analogue Video box.
Then that's ok.
